Moderation as a vehicle for creating a collaborative culture in English and Humanities

Shifting culture takes time and leadership courage. Over the last two years the English and Humanities faculties have used moderation practices as a means to developing a culture of collaboration and to build teacher capability to plan and implement the Australian Curriculum. Blending the use of strategic change management tools with instructional leadership to shift culture has led to an improvement in teacher capability and student learning outcomes.
